No Man's Land

  • Australian National Academy of Music 210 Bank St South Melbourne, VIC, 3205 Australia (map)

No Man's Land is the first in a series of concerts curated by Justin Beere as a Fellow at the Australian National Academy of Music. Featuring some of Melbourne's finest and most vibrant instrumentalists, "No Man's Land" reflects on the horror of 1905's Bloody Sunday that sparked a revolution that changed the world and reshaped Russian art and music, giving rise to the avant-garde. Held in the beautiful South Melbourne Town Hall this performance highlights the music of Scriabin, Glazunov, Pasternak, Stravinsky and Shostakovich.
