A Room of Her Own: Music by Anne Cawrse
Join Syzygy Ensemble and soprano Judith Dodsworth for a sumptuous evening of chamber music by leading Australian composer Anne Cawrse. A Room of Her Own showcases pivotal works from Cawrse’s extensive chamber catalogue, characterised by soaring lyrical melodies and dexterous rhythmic interplay. The program culminates in the premiere performance of Muse - a self-portrait, generously supported by the Albert Maggs commission. Here, Cawrse turns her focus inwards, embracing self-quotation as a structural catalyst, depicting her own musical legacy.
