I created this resource for players who are ready to extend their finger fluency beyond standard scales and into the full compass of the instrument. Working through extended-range scales in the circle of fourths challenges both the fingers and the mind, encouraging flexibility, consistency, and confidence in every key.
These scales are designed to strengthen coordination through the break and into the altissimo, while reinforcing stable tone, reliable intonation, and efficient breath and embouchure management. Practised slowly, with a metronome and a focused “hee” airstream, they help build the kind of dependable facility that supports more advanced repertoire.
This is the sort of work I return to in my own practice when I want to check fundamentals, iron out inconsistencies, and reconnect technique with sound.
